This is part of the Blaire's World series. It can be read as a standalone, and you don't have to have read the Blaire books to read this, but it helps.

Measha Stone really knows how to spread the dark, and she certainly did in Kristoff. The story is engrossing and emotional and intense. I couldn't put it down because Magdalena and Kristoff had such a stranglehold on me. I

Kristoff is the best kind of anti-hero, one that makes you wonder why you like him or if you should seek psychiatric help for liking him, but you kind of hate him too, but that's all good.

Magdalena is so strong and stubborn, but sometimes you just want to tell her to give in, just a little bit, but of course, she wouldn't be her if she did. I did like her and feel sorry for her all at the same time.

I loved every single word of this book and was sad when I finished it. ( )

This author weaves a tale that is heartbreaking and dark combined with compelling and titillating. I really enjoyed the characters and story. My biggest complaint is that I wish it had been a full story because I wanted to know more of the reasons that Magdelina was even in this situation.the story still had so many directions that it could have expanded in.

For anyone a fan of The Blair duet will appreciate this story. ( )
