An audible original. A Private Investigator is hired to find a missing child, her mother an illegal immigrant also disappears - in the search for finding Isabelle - the unlikely team encounter "the others" - not aliens, not human -the topic is not my usual pick to read but this was interesting so much that it makes you wonder....... ( ) The Others by Jeremy Robinson and narrated by R.C.Bray is going on my favorite list! This had me hooked immediately! I had to listen to it non-stop! The suspense, the thrills, the mysteries, the humor, wonderful characters, twist and turns, the sci-fi, the fantasy, the total awesomeness was overwhelming!!! I laughed, cringed, and even cried at the end! What a wonderful story! With R.C. Bray you know the narration was terrific! He enhances all books he narrates! Definitely a book to get! The good: the author took the well-worn meme of space alien "grays" and turned it on its head (literally), providing a plot with an unexpected explanation for UFOs. The bad: the author leaned on a tired explanation for the main character's motivations. It was so heavy-handed, in fact, that if felt thrown in just to attract the female audience. The odd: after assembling a set of improbable but oddly appealing characters at the beginning of the book, the author takes some of them in completely unexpected directions, and shuttles others off, stage left, for a significant amount time. It felt like he just couldn't figure out how to work them into the plot. The fast pace and interesting premise of this book make it a worthwhile read, even if it feels like a little more work could have taken this book from good to great. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
