Brenda Anderson creates a memorable contemporary romance in Place Called Home. Her writing is easy to read, the plot is well-paced, the characters are lovable, and the theme of Jesus being our only Savior is nicely incorporated into the story.

Tessa is a sheltered young woman who has been emotionally abused by her boyfriend for the last four years. She escapes his clutches to embark on a journey to discovering herself again. Her regrets, fears, and struggles are real and heartfelt. Nate is a tender-hearted graphics designer who has a soft spot for those who need help. His unshakable faith in God, kindness, thoughtfulness, and prayerfulness make him a hero in Tessa’s eyes. Their friendship is filled with fun and laughter but also with honest moments of truth being spoken in love. The secondary characters in Nate’s immediate family are lots of fun to get to know.
