Cool little ret-con ( ) Retelling of the Spider-man origin story updated for the 2010s. Plus a new Spidie wannabe. Great art and remains true to the original without feeling old fashioned. (One thing I wished they'd left out from the original: Peter entering JJJ's office and Betty Brant proclaiming he's cute. Peter's 15 and still in school, and she's an undisclosed age but a working woman. Feels a bit skeevy.) A one-shot story from the first couple of months of Spider-Man's career, in which he struggles to learn how his new abilities fit in with his own growth as a young student in high school, and how to best use them. There are some very good, real and touching scenes here, but the story's focus is as distracted in different directions as Peter Parker's own life choices are. And the art, while there is a nice nostalgic simplicity to it that reminds me of the style of the "Batman - Year One" books, ultimately doesn't do much for me either. Still a welcome addition to the Spider-Man pantheon. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
