This book discusses different sources of water, the water cycle, and how water gets cleaned and into our homes. The story is moved along with the character of a little girl and her dog.

This book brings up a few issues of controversy, such as fluoride in water, but overall this is a good book that explains important concepts. You could use this book for varying age levels and just adjust as needed.

This book discusses the water cycle and all the filtering and treatment necessary for people to be able to drink it. I would use this book to explain how water gets to houses. This book taught me where water comes from, and I enjoyed it, so I think the children will too. ( )

Drip! Drop! : How water gets to your tap is a nonfiction book about how water gets into your faucet and how it gets clean. It also includes facts about the water cycle. This is a nonfiction book narrated with speech bubbles (graphic novel) between JoJo and her dog about how water gets into their home.

This is a book for ages 4 through 8 and it is a great book for this age group because it is true facts about how we get water but also includes the humorous dog Zany. This is a good book for children to learn about science through reading and is not boring it keeps the readers interested!

It also includes extension ideas. It shows three different hands on activities that I would also use such as 1. Make water evaporate, 2. Make your own water filter, 3. And make your own raindrops. The activities are simple and fun. They would make good in class activities.
