Oh Hells Yes!! K Webster is BACK on my must read list. This is the MOST unique book I have read in a very long time and I absolutely loved it. Her handling of a subject close to my heart was sensitive and beautiful and taking a look at something from the inside out gave me a unique and delightful perspective. There were tears, lots of tears. There were smiles and there was a lot of anger, but overall this was a wonderful read! Thank you K Webster. I love TORIN!! ( )

I want to reach up to the sky and grab more stars for this simplyamazingstunninglybrilliant book.

My Torin is a novel which demands to be read in a single sitting. K. Webster addresses communication issues and autism is noteworthy.for the absence of infantilising or desexualising the main character.

The intense love scenes are hot enough to burn down a house. The numerous emotional moments should elicit more than enough tears to put out those flames.

Ditch the mascara, grab your tissues and get yourself someone to cuddle up with the inevitable post novel hangover. ( )

This book......
It was AMAZING.
It is really difficult to explain much about the plot without spoilers and the discovery is part of the beauty of this book.
I haven't read much by this author but this book made me want to join her newsletter and check her previous work in case she has written anything else this good.
There are 3 main characters and you get 3 POV's. I have read book where this was done and I didn't think it worked, in this book it works!
The set up is a bit weird, but if you work with that it's a fantastic read.
It does have a HEA but on it's journey to get there is is gut wrenchingly sad. Absolutely huge sobs.
The author said she did a lot of research to write this and it shows, I felt it was incredibly brave to attempt this subject, it is so well written.
I was in the mood for something different and unusual and this book absolutely fits. ( )

K Webster has written some of my favorite books ever, and My Torin is going to go right on that list. It is a truly amazing story with all the layers that K generally puts into her books, as well as a love story that will burn the universe down.

Casey was left outside a church as an infant. She was abandoned in a manger, wrapped in a ratty blanket, and with a bag full of pennies sitting next to her. The man who found her contacted child services and she spent the next almost 18 years bouncing back and forth in between various foster homes, never having anything of her own and never having a family who loves her and whom she can love.

Tyler and Torin are brothers. They have been on their own together for several years now. Tyler is the older brother and does everything he can to take care of Torin, because Torin is autistic. One day, on the way to Torin's doctor's office, he picks up a penny on the ground, right before a young woman picked it up. He tried to give her the penny, but she has to get in a car and leave.

Of course, that young woman was Casey, and that chance meeting starts the romance that goes through this book.

This book spoke to me on so many levels. One is that I'm a mother of a son who is autistic. I feel really connected to the story because of that. K Webster was very careful in how she wrote Torin, so you don't get all the stereotypes that show up when people talk about autistic people. So, I really appreciated that a lot. Secondly, the book spoke to me because of the love that Tyler and Torin have for each other as siblings, and how they are willing to just slide Casey into their love.

I can honestly say that this story is beautiful and moving and powerful. I had sad cries and happy cries because of this book. It was my first cry book of this year. I still feel the intense emotions from this book even days and days after reading it and I keep thinking on it. It's going to be one of those books that sticks with people for a long, long, long time. ( )

Casey Doe, best known for her harrowing story as an infant shared by every major newspaper. She's counting down the days to eighteen, to her first real chance at escaping her given name and making her own happiness. Gripped by anxiety and ADHD she sees a counselor monthly, making it her mission to trip the woman up at any chance. On one random day though, she is the one tripped up, by the man in dark clothing with deep, emotive eyes who reached for the same penny on the dirty ground. It's a small moment, forgettable, replaced by fear, worry, and excitement when the older, handsome Tyler Kline comes to take her from her foster home. That moment begins her new life, introducing her to a world she'd never thought she'd know and to people she may never be able to understand. Tyler and Torin may call to her in every way known to man, but their home is filled with uncertainty.

"I want to give her everything. Because I need everything from her."

K. Webster has done it again, delivering a fresh story to readers with her stunning, descriptive writing and well developed characters. My Torin is a lot of what you'd expect from the creative K, but also a lot you would never even think of finding in a book. It's imaginative, a book made up of true-life scenarios mixed together with perfect-fiction romance. It features a sassy, but sweet heroine named Casey, a character with a heart of gold despite her vicious upbringing. Then there is Tyler and Torin, brothers with very different personalities and outlooks on life. While Tyler is smiling and optimistic, Torin is silent and almost scary. The three of them share a story that I couldn't truly sum up without giving all of My Torin away.

"I knew she was perfect.
He knew it too."

Casey is the lead of the novel, her character arc leading the book from the start. She has the most character development, truly finding herself, her passions, and her future within the many pages of the book. Tyler was the most fleshed out, a character so sure of himself and his goals. Torin is best described by his incredible brightness and his inability to communicate or share. The three of them are connected, by emotions, by lust, and by several secrets. There's several parts to the novel for a reason, the relationship between the three couldn't simple be a single part book. How they interact, the dialogue they share (and don't share) made this book so incredibly good for me. I loved getting into each character's mind psychologically and I really appreciated the second-hand view we are given as readers with the changing point-of-view. I had just a few minor issues with the book, mostly related to tiny story gaps and a pretty intense moment between Casey and Torin. While the book is ultimately romantic, some of the darkness was a bit much for me, but not too much so for me to stop reading at any time.

"Lovely. Lovely. Lovely.
She's different.
Beautiful and perfect and mine."

This is, by far, my favorite new release from K. Webster in the last several months. It's 100% unique and totally a K. Webster-esque novel; the kind of book that draws you in with a clever heroine, wins you over with a handsome hero, and hooks you with the psychological twists and turns. It's a little dark, a bit unusual, and a lot romantic. This is definitely going onto my list of books that I will recommend to anyone looking for something new.

"It's hopeless. We're hopeless. And yet, I try."
