Ehnnnnn. There were like four major issues I had with this book that happened in the first two chapters that basically made this book godawful in my opinion. I eventually did like Sid and Gregor, but the beginning ruined my ability to enjoy the rest of the book. Not the worst of the series--at least Sid and Gregor like each other--but definitely a low point.

(For the record, the four things were 1) Gregor saying if Sid didn't want to take a drug that he thought she should take then he'd pin her down and force her to take it, 2) Gregor's refusal to consider mating anyone at the start because matings always result in pregnancy, 3) Gregor saying he couldn't mate Sid specifically because she was too old to be able to birth a baby of his line without it being dangerous for her, and 4) --I can't remember 4 beyond it existing and that it pissed me off too, whoops. Everyone eventually gets over all their issues but ugh all my nopes for this sort of thing.) ( )
