Parkinson-Morgan is still easily one of the best comics artists/writers working today. I'm still bummed that the text pieces are mostly dropped from these collections, but K6BD is so wild and fresh that I can let these go. ( )

vol 1 was incredibly slow, as there was lots of necessary exposition to begin covering the depth of the rich world (or multiverse)

i expected vol 2 to continue w the same pace, but fuck did it speed up REAL fast. we got some more time getting to kno our main chars, had a WONDERFUL confrontation w the first big bad, and all the plot threads seem to b coming into view. much abt the world remains unexplained, but at this point i think it works (as long as we're reading from alison's persp); the veil of mystery sustains a palpable tension wrt char dev and plot, but also despite all the outrageous things this world has thrown at us so far there is still more to amaze, wonder, and horrify

its still v early in the grand scheme of things, but im excited for where this goes next ( )
