Josie finds out that her husband, Frank, had an affair. (“Just kissing”). Josie is a bit annoying. I found myself saying “Just decide already”. Some of the little details, she put his suits on his car in, what I think was March in Chicago, bothered me. That could be because I live in the Mid-west and know that that wouldn’t really work. Whatever. You might want to read something else. This is a good story. Reread review. The book starts with the wife accidentally discovering her husband has been receiving emails from another woman. There are a few things about cheating and recovering from it. First she accidentally finds out, he doesn't come to her and confess as hes made a mistake and feels guilty. How long has been going on? Seven weeks. It had been going on for seven weeks. There was intimacy but no sex, he claims, around 6 times they had met. Whether or not you forgive him as a reader, this book explores the issues of cheating well. The feelings it conjures, the results of lack of trust after. The couple have a HEA. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"Josie and Frank Moore are happy...at least Josie thinks they are. As parents of two young girls in the Chicago suburbs, their days can be both busy and monotonous, and sometimes Josie wonders how she became a harried fortysomething mother rather than the driven career woman she once was. But Frank is a phenomenal father, he's handsome and charismatic, and he still looks at his wife like she's the beautiful woman he married more than a decade ago. Josie isn't just happy--she's lucky. Until one Saturday morning when Josie borrows her husband's phone to make a quick call--and sees nine words that shatter her world"-- No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

Written entirely from Josie's view, you'll end up immersed in the discovery for truth. I could easily have been one of those people that say this isn't reality. Knowing that true crime makes me a google detective, I know with a certainty how determined a person can become in their pursuit of the full story. I could easily see Josie becoming one of the amateur sleuths from a cozy mystery.
This story is a reality for many couples. And the ending isn't always the same. I enjoyed the read and know for sure I'm likely to read it again. ( )
