If you are familiar at all with the Arthurian legend variations, then this story will resonate with even more depth, but I think it's still compelling without that knowledge. Wondering how it would end was a thought throughout the whole series, but it sharpens to a point in this book. I won't give it away, but I definitely cried. More than once. But even aside from that, it's a great story with compelling characters, a whole lot of introspection and depth, and some seriously hot, kinky sex. If you prefer sweet or only mildly spicy, this series is not for you; pretty much like everything Ms. Simone writes. ( ) "My love for the two of you exists inside your love for each other—when you love each other, you are loving me." This book almost wrecked me!! In this book, we finally get to see things through Ash's POV! We get to learn about the history of the romance between Ash and Greer and Ash and Embry. I am so glad that I did not have to wait to read the rest of the books of this series because I absolutely loved it. The way that Sierra wrote the characters; it was like I knew them in my life and I could actually picture them. I really wish that I could just punch Abilene in the face...but I digress. 10/10 would recommend That little tidbit with Merlin and reincarnation was a bit much in my opinion. But hey it's fiction... :D And I wanted a bit more of Embry, despite that almost the whole book was about pleasing/punishing him. He is and forever will be my favorite character though. And I'm grateful for Sierra Simone for writing this story. I'm not much for kink, but I live for M/M romance, and Embry & Ash is at the top of the list of my favorite couples. Well the series is complete, and it was actually pretty entertaining. Weirdly this was SUPER smutty, but for me personally not particularly erotic. YMMV. So this is the third book in a modern reworking of Morte d'Arthur. The intricacy of the reworking is impressive. Simone knows her stuff. There is also some good writing here. The story could not possibly be more outlandish. That said, it was fun to read most of the way through. It is not perfect, in fact it is quite imperfect, but I admire Simone's chutzpah and her deep well of knowledge. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

They say that every tragic hero has a fatal flaw, a secret sin, a tiny stitch sewn into his future since birth. And here I am. My sins are no longer secret. My flaws have never been more fatal. And I've never been closer to tragedy than I am now. I am a man who loves, a man whose love demands much in return. I am a king, a king who was foolish enough to build a kingdom on the bones of the past. I am a husband and a lover and a soldier and a father and a president. And I will survive this. Long live the king. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
