Yes please! Add to that beautiful illustrations depicting not only our young lead and his family, but the majestic New York City Library in all its golden glory. Ah, yes...definitely a book for book lover's and a wonderful way to introduce new readers to the fold. The only thing that kept this from getting a five star rating (because we all know how I hate rating a book one way or another) is that the actual message, the real deal so to speak, is a little more cryptic than wee ones might capture....after all, we each have a "book of gold" to discover along our journeys, but it's that constant quest and the rewards we reap from it that are the REAL treasure. An elderly lady that owned a shop that the boy and his parent went into told the boy about the Book of Gold. After years of traveling and searching, the boy, Issac found more questions he had, and read the books he opened to find the answers. This is a great book for students who find no interest in reading. I think if you give them a task like finding the book that turns gold when you open it is a great way. This was an interesting book that I would refer to other teachers and to parents as well. I would have this book in my classroom library for the curious students. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
