It was a good story, but there was nothing that made me fall in love with the characters (Was I the problem, or was it the book?). I like their relationship at the beginning, I liked that they didn't hop in each other's bed immediately and there was some resistance, the first scene was hot, but after it, all other scenes sounded dull. Someone warned me there was this huge twist, but the If you like dark and taboo books, I recommend it, but it just wasn't the book for me. Heroine - 4/6 Hero - 3/6 Plot Twist - 2/6 Ending - 4/6 Storyline - 4/6 1) i hate reed, i think he’s a caveman and i hated the way he reacted when devon found out she was adopted 2) i thought it was completely ridiculous he kept her being adopted away from devon, thats some important information??? maybe dont let ur supposed beloved wife / ,,daughter’’ believe shes going to give birth to some messed up kid when you know the truth?? like literally what 3) im sort of ‘’used,, to a daddy/daughter taboo, obv this one goes the extra mile with making you believe they’re actually related but i knew before starting that devon had been adopted so i felt a better about this whole thing and honestly my problems don’t even stem from the taboo element; 4) my main issue was this whole scenario felt utterly ridiculous, especially once devon got pregnant, you would think they could have figured out some way to get to and from town or a hospital or something. i know reed has money so i just couldn’t buy into why they needed to live so completely off the grid. they’re reason for moving out there in the first place wasn’t a big enough problem to justify it tbh. i dont see why they needed to not only move to alaska, but go completely off the grid. it’s a shaky plot and i cant really buy into it :/ like are they gonna send their kids to school or what sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
I brought them to the wilderness because we couldn't cope with our reality. The plan was to make a new life that didn't include heartache. No people. No technology. No interference.Just us.A chance to piece together what was broken. But the wilderness is untamed and harsh.Brutal and unforgiving. It doesn't give a damn about your feelings.Tragedy lives there too.No escaping the truths that won't let you go.All you can do is survive where love, no matter how beastly, is the only thing you can truly count on.Confusing. Wrong. Twisted. Beautiful. Sick.Love is wild. And we're going to set it free.WARNING:The Wild is an extremely taboo story. Most will find that the themes in this book will make you incredibly uncomfortable or maybe even offend you. This book is only for the brave, the open-minded, and the ones who crave love in even the most dismal of situations. Extreme sexual themes and violence in certain scenes, which could trigger emotional distress, are found in this story. If you are sensitive to heavy taboo themes, then this story is not for you.Seriously, you've been warned.Don't say I didn't try. You're probably going to cringe many, many, many times.Even if you're on the fence, it's probably not a good idea to proceed. However, if you're intrigued and fearless and kind of sort of trust me, then carry on. This book is for you. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

This book is taboo. You get a warning when you first open the book. It's right there in black and white. I don't know why people are complaining about it in the reviews. You had your warning you chose to read it deal with it.
That being said. Do me a favor, read the book. There are so many twists and turns throughout this entire book that you'll be able to understand the situation much better if you read it from cover to ending.
And I will totally admit that at first I could understand the situation. You're lost in the wilderness. It's alaska. You're cold. You need body heat. Being naked with one another you're obviously going to get your wires twisted. No civilization around. I can see how I could happen.
I'm not going to judge them because I'm not in that situation nor have I ever been in that situation.
Stop being said, yes it was a cringy book. There were cringe moments. But there are some loving moments. And once everything is explained at the end of the book, you can understand why I don't feel as cringed out as I guess I should.
It's worth reading. And then make your own judgments or assessments. But try to put yourself in the characters shoes while you do it.
The book is pretty Savage. But like I said there are loving moments. Give it a chance.
And don't just say you hate the book. It's okay to hate the book but don't sit there and say that you were not warned that it is a taboo subject with violence. ( )
