Mind Platter is a compilation of reflections on life through the eyes of an educator, student and human who experienced most of life in silence. its a good book. Mind Platter is not just a book, and it's not about reading it one go (though you can, depends). Just like you drink tea sip by sip, this book is meant to be read page by page and let the thoughts and words flow in your body. Mind Platter is a reflection of things we all humans face in our life. And after reading every page you are bound to question yourself and see what you are upto. This book is definitely going to make you grow as a person and heal you. Words are so damn powerful and you'll feel the power once you go through this book. ( ) I love this author. She has a brilliant mind and I could listen to her speak for hours. She has wisdom far beyond her years. It's literally like she's some wise being from another place and time. Her words heal my heart and soul. There is a woman plagarizing her work, so please buy from the source of these beautiful thoughts via this brilliant author. This is a book composed of short, pithy statements that Zebian weaves to create a whole to reinforce her overall philosophy on life, love, friendship, and more. The prose is sharp at times, but overall the impression is one of transparency and self-discovery. It was a good collection, but I feel that Zebian is still an emerging writer and that her talents will increase as she publishes more work. 3 stars. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
"Mind Platter is a compilation of reflections on life as seen through the eyes of an educator, student, and human who experienced her early days in silence. It is written in the words of a woman who came from Lebanon to Canada at the age of sixteen and experienced what it was like to have fate push her to a place where she didn't belong. It is written in the voice of every person who has felt unheard, mistreated, misjudged, or unseen. The book contains over 200 one-page reflections on topics we encounter in our everyday lives: love, friendship, hurt, inspiration, respect, motivation, integrity, honesty, and more. Mind Platter is not about the words it contains, but what the reader makes of them. May this book give a voice to those who need one, be a crying shoulder for those who yearn for someone to listen, and inspire those who need a reminder of the power they have over their lives."--from Amazon No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
