"Geeky has never been so sexy"(Carly Phillips) in this cosplay romantic comedy from the New York Times bestselling author of Boys of the Bayou series.
Maya Goodwin doesn't believe in holding back. Ever. As a cop, she never hesitated to throw herself into harm's way to save someone. Even after an injury on the job forces her to retire, she's not afraid to keep risking it all to get the life she wants. With a new career teaching martial arts to kids already underway, she's looking forward to the future - and taking a chance on the unbelievably hot Dr. Alex Nolan.
Maya - daring and spontaneous - is the exact opposite of what Alex always thought he wanted. But when a nine-year-old daughter he never knew existed shows up on his doorstep, Maya is the one who helps them hold it together. With love on the line, will the guy who's always played it safe be willing to take the biggest risk of all?

ARC Review: Forever Mine (Opposites Attract) by Erin Nicholas

A pen is a mighty tool. It can be used to cut down or inspire. Erin Nicholas knows the power it wields so she does not take for granted it's impact. Forever Mine is evidence of that. Within these pages, she entertains, inspires and informs. Forever Mine is not only a romance between a man and a woman, but the building of a bridge between a father and a daughter. The most powerful message to take away from Charli, Maya, Alex and Rachel is that imperfections do not make the person but the ability to push beyond the barriers set for ourselves as we follow our hearts and give of ourselves is the most precious gift we have. I was not expecting to fall in love, but I went and did it anyway. ( )

1st let me say that I am really enjoying Opposites Attract series. (Book 1 is Completely Yours) In most "Nerdy" books the guy is the nerd. I love that this is about "nerdy" women!! Forever Mine is the second book in this series. (Each can be read as a standalone, but it is totally worth it to read both books) Maya is an ex cop turned martial arts instructor. She literally kicks behind!! Alex is a single dad and doctor trying to find things that will help him connect with his newly found daughter. I loved that risk taker Maya is paired up with a follow the rules risks are for crazy people Alex! These two drive each other crazy with their different view points on what risks are worth it. This books contains some smoking hot chemistry that will leave you feeling hot like you just took a Bo class. I think that some of the health issues and how it effects normal life was really well handled. I fell in love with Alex's daughter Charlie, I felt for her struggle with trying to be safe but also with wanting to have fun. Don't let some physical limitations slow you down, modification is the Key! Overall this was a great book and very well written. I can't wait for the next book in the series. ( )
