The author did a good job with sticking to the story prompt. Pretty short and though it finished abruptly, it still was an okay read. There's a smattering of crime/mafia-ish action. We never did get much background as to what Niko's homophobic father did for a living. Was he a crime boss? Was he a head of a seedy corporation?

I might have missed the light BDSM because I didn't see it. I wished there was some more.

But a decent read.

3.5 stars. Good story but present tense isn't my favourite and I found it odd/mildly annoying that there was NO description of the character in whose POV the story was told. That said, I did like it and will be interested to read more from this author. ( )

A great disappointment. Supposedly a film about the German occupation of England during World War 2,which had it been handled right would have made for an interesting story. As it was it concentrated on a small Welsh valley and the impact on the people living there.
I understand this was a low-budget film and I'm afraid it showed. The original idea was a good one but everything shouted 'cheap,cheap'. ( )
