I received this as an e-galley via Netgalley and I am happy to say that this book matches up to the preceding stories in the series. Each of the books deals with one of the 'Whisperers', who together with their animal companions protect the kingdom. However after a gap of many years the country is one again under threat from demons who could destroy everything. Whilst the books can be read individually it is probably best to read in order so that you can follow the plot lines. Definitely a series that you keep reading to the end. (
