Lane and Thad O'Brien had been married for 8 years. They both worked for the same law firm. Two months ago Lane overheard gossip in the bathroom and instead of confronting Thad she just kicks him out without telling him why.

Two months later Lane thinks she is for sure going to make partner since her boss asked her to come see him with her passport. There is a huge client in London and if all goes well she thinks she will get partner over it. What she doesnt count on his boss is also sending Thad along. Their boss doesnt know about there separation. But Lane see it as her chances of getting partner just dropped in half as Lane is also up.

While over there due to circumstances delaying there business they met with a therapist. When Thad finds out why Lane kicked him out he is both hurt and very angry. He loves his wife and that she had so little trust in him and then to not even talked to him about it he decides some changes need to be made because he doesnt want a divorce but if there isnt open communication and trust between them it isnt going to work.

Thad changes include adding domestic discipline and getting to know each other again. Both were very touching to watch.
