But when her uncle is murdered and family is accused of the crime, Sooze vows not to be beaten. Is salvation within her grasp by relying solely on truth, or is it in the security of her intended's money? Sooze must decide before it's too late. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

From the first word, Sooze jumped out of the page and I felt as though I was experiencing every trial she and her family faced. Sooze's reasonings and early decisions made sense for what was happening around her, and my heart broke for her. The author did a fantastic job of creating memorable characters, especially ones I think I would have hit over the head for their actions.
The plot moved along nicely and by the end I was on the edge of my seat to know just how it would conclude.
I would recommend this to any reader who enjoys a historical, coming of age type of book. ( )
