Looks like this is going to be another super smashing hit series. I've missed a number of Kate Perry's books between What A Girl Wants and this one but I am hoping to catch up as soon as I can get my hands on them. This book is all about second chances and do-overs. Since I sink my teeth into a story it becomes a little frustrating when it is broken down into novellas but I am hoping that we won't be kept waiting too long before we can dive into part 2.

Dancing on a Moonbeam is the story of Eleanor Westwood. When the book opens, Eleanor's divorce has just been finalized & she is signing the papers. Eleanor has a daughter, Lily. Lily has become sullen & argumentative & is wearing way to much garish makeup. She started acting up when Eleanor kicked Charles, her ex & Lily's father, out & divorced him. Between Eleanor's sister & her best friend, they convince Eleanor that she needs to go back to dance. Eleanor was a prima ballerina with Joffrey Ballet before Charles made her choose between him & her love of dance. Eleanor decides she is too old to dance but she could teach. She then begins renovations on a shed in her backyard to use as a studio.

Max (Amadeus Ravel) Massimo has picked the wrong time to move into his friend's house looking for peace & quiet to compose a music score. The house which just happens to be next door to Eleanor's, the house with the noisy renovations going on. From the moment Max & Eleanor meet, they have tremendous chemistry but they are both focused on what they need.

This storyline pulls you in right from the start. You feel Eleanor's depression, exhaustion & disbelief that she allowed her life to turn out this way. As the story goes on you go on a journey with Eleanor as she tries to improve her life & the anger at the set backs she has to endure. Will Eleanor & Max act on their chemistry? Will Max & Lily continue to grow their friendship? Will Charles leave Eleanor alone? I can't wait to read Part 2!

I was given an ARC of this story in exchange for an honest review. ( )
