I LOVED THIS BOOK. Who would think that Travis would have turned out to be such an evolved man. So honest and patient and understanding. Just the guy for Luna. Of course in spite of being so evolved as individuals, there has to some kind of drama or then this book would have been boring. ANd it comes in the form of trust issues and the inability to simply say no, stop! Oh well nobody's perfect but thank God for that. Because it is that very imperfection that is the spice of life and the ability to overcome those obstacles we put up ourselves is the ultimate reward.

ARC provided in exchange of an honest review.

"The last alimony check. Luna wrote it out the way she had every month for the past year: at her desk in the window with her teeth gritted." With this in the readers minds, they are thrown into a journey of acceptance, love & growth in Kate Perry's newest Bedford Falls book. Stars Shining Bright Above is book 3 in the series but can be read as a stand alone. You miss a little of Jack's story but you really don't get lost.

"They say you marry your father, and I was determined not to, but I still did. So I decided I needed to see and understand my negative patterns with men so I can stop attracting them." In Luna's conversation with her friend, Sara, she summed up her relationship with her father & her two dismal marriages. She vows to change her patterns of behavior to find her true love but she wants to step out & become an active part of the community first. She wasn't counting on the chemistry between her and contractor Travis Scott. Travis is supposed to be running the family construction business since his dad has retired but his dad keeps interfering. He accepts jobs without Travis's agreement and it seems the sole purpose is to find Travis a spouse.

I loved the interactions between these characters. The characters have such depth & complexity. They find themselves in situations we all have found ourselves in and it was interesting to see how Kate has them deal with it. Travis has a secret he is keeping from his father, Jim because he doesn't want me to think anything is keeping him from giving 100% to the construction business. Luna is trying to open herself up and find acceptance from the town & from Travis. Jack is trying to deal with his fear of opening up & living again after the death of a spouse. Kate pulled us into all of their lives within the first couple of chapters & kept us entangled in their relationships & emotions to keep us reading. This book was an emotional journey for Luna, Travis, Jim, Jack & Clara and they carried us all with them as they learned what was important, how to accept the things they didn't like, & how to live & love again. A wonderfully delightful quirky emotional read!

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.
