Logan is in the military on his 3rd deployment. He's given a chance to come home for his anniversary. His best friend, Alex who is stationed with him & Alex's wife Lily gave Logan & Chloe, his wife, a trip to Barefoot Bay to celebrate.

Chloe has basically been a single parent to her two girls all their lives. Logan has been gone for the majority of it. She's feeling overwhelmed & exhausted & has gone to the doctor. What's wrong with her? What happens when Logan surprises her?

I really enjoyed this book & it's quick view of the military personnel & their families. As the reader you are given a glimpse at what they have to go through in their lives & their struggles to defend. Lynne has a very descriptive way of writing that brings home to use Chloe's frustrations with being a "single" mother, Logan's joy at being with her for their anniversary & their sorrow at being separated early. Would recommend this book to everyone. ( )
