I basically skim read this, all the time muttering, “Yup, absolutely, true dat,” but never discovering anything that was new or revelatory to me. Note to self: stop reading writing guides. ( ) This is an excellent resource for anyone writing for kids, especially middle grade and young adult. It includes practical advice for developing the premise of your novel, creating memorable characters, and finding the right agent for your work.
