In previous books we have been teased and given little bits of information about the goings on between Sage and Kim. Sage. We know he was upset with her and he feels she blew her chance with him then he seemed uncertain about his decision. Kim. We know Kim has serious health problems, that are not common knowledge and she has a twin sister, of who we have not seen her good side. Kim only recently had knowledge and contact with her sister and others don't know of her. The first interaction of Kim and Sage is amazing, such a connection and so romantic then it goes horribly wrong and Sage is absolutely and utterly horrible and it was heart breaking for Kim and the reader. The explanations of why Sage reacted so strongly is explored and he is helped to think about this and his past. They are a beautiful couple together, I felt maybe she should have made him work for it a bit more but at the same time when she does accept him back she is in need of a lot of support so it works.
