So you may ask, who is Adam Connor? He is the recently divorced, Academy Award-winning actor who just moved in next door with his kid. He also happens to be an exquisite male specimen and the most infuriating sly bastard I've ever come across. While I was being thoughtful by not breaking and entering and was actually considering going over to offer him a shoulder to cry on (you know, because of his divorce), instead he had me thrown in jail after a small incident. Jail, people! He was supposed to grant me countless orgasms as a thank you, not a jail cell. After that day, I was mentally plotting ways to strangle him. So what if my body did more than just shiver when he whispered dirty little things in my ear? I can't be held responsible for that. Even if he and his son were the best things since sliced bread, I couldn't fall for him. No matter what promises he whispered on my skin, my curse wouldn't let us be. I wasn't a damsel in distress-I could save myself, thank you very much-but deep inside, I still hoped Adam Connor would be the hero of my story. Contains mature themes.… (más)

This book need another round of editing for content and grammar, though the grammar mistakes could have been in the transition to ebook. However, there were conversations that went endlessly in circles. And the plot moved in circles at times as well.

An uh, okay, romance, but definitely not great, especially if you don't like quirky heroines who spend 50% of the book talking about penis sizes. ( )

A perfect follow up to book one. We end book one with Olive and Jason getting their happily ever after. And at the start of book two, Olive’s best friend Lucy has been left by her boyfriend and she has decided to never love another man again. She has temporarily moved in with Olive and Jason and gets a happy surprise when her favorite movie star, Adam Connor, moves in next-door with his five-year-old son. Lucy decides to peep over the fence between the yards to see her favorite male in action. However, despite preventing a near disaster, Adam and Lucy have an explosive first meeting that lands her in jail. And it puts Adam on Lucy’s hate list. However, as the two get to know each other, other feelings start to develop. And at the end of the day, Lucy has to decide how to deal with her ban on love when she realizes that she actually doesn’t hate Adam Connor at all.

This book was fun. It was such a cute read. There was a bit more drama and sadness in this one than in the first book. This couple encountered most of their drama in the beginning. So once they were together, that was pretty much it. There’s no big break ups involved. And the drama and stress that did come up, they handled it together. Which is what I like to see in a book. Like with the first book, the guy starts off and you’re not really sure how you feel about him. But by the end, you will definitely be in love with him. This was enemies to lovers done right. ( )

I was a little lost when I read this because I didn't read Jason and Olive's book yet. I had a hard time connecting to these characters. My favorite part of the book was the interaction between Adam and his son. There were a few unexpected things that are revealed near the end of the book that were interesting and kind of saved the book for me. I'm going to wait with my stars until I've read To Love Jason Thorn at which point I may need to re-read this book with a better understanding of the characters.
