The audio was inconsistent, different volumes, sometimes sounding close then faraway for no apparent reason. Luna is a grouchy Muslim girl who spends a lot of time being angry, placating her father and trying to avoid her own personal stalker named Chase. Chase is the popular, good looking, I've got everything boy at school who is a psychopath and he wants Luna. None of the characters are very likeable, the dream world and it's warriors are suppose to be strong but come across as impotent. It's confusing when we're told if you die there you die in real life yet, folks are killed in the dream world, but aren't dead. It doesn't make sense. Luna's supposed BFF who's crushing on Chase, works to help Chase get Luna. Luna wants nothing to do with Chance, yet over and over again she's involved with him. She knows he's a murderer but let's him in her house, it just boggles the mind and her father punishing her by forcing her to go on a date with Chace seemed absurd. This is a very creepy read but because of the above issues and more the story just didn't work for me. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/ I received this ebook in exchange for a fair and honest review. Luna is in her senior year of highschool. She has one friend, Violet. Luna keeps to herself, head down, and is just trying to get through her last year of school. Chance is the popular kid. He could get any girl he wants. When he starts showing an interest in Luna, she knows that there must be some ulterior motive seeing how he has never done anything but annoy her. The dreams that Luna has seem so real. It's the same dream, over and over, sometimes picking up where it left off. She soon finds out that what happens in the dreams, happens in real life. Can she stop the fusion of the two before she and her friends end up dead? This book was different. A little Freddy Krueger-ish. It took me a day and a half to get through the first chapter but once I did, I couldn't put it down! It turned out to be one of those that you have to know what happens next. I ended up being very impressed with Ms. Krantz's writing. Jo This book is a page turner for sure. There was a bit of fantasy to the book of which I am not usually a fan, but the writing was just incredible. The author led up to the dream sequence so eloquently that it seemed that this could really happen. I didn't like Luna's father and the way he treated her. He was so gullible to fall for Chance and his tales about Luna. Mother was pretty useless too. The way Chance groomed Luna to be his slave was disturbing. Wonderful story and I can't wait for the next installment in this series. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

Obsession is deadly. No one learns that better then LUNA KETZ, a pessimistic high school senior. She wishes more than anything to graduate, but things don't always go as planned. Luna quickly finds herself trapped in a web of lies and murders, spun by the least suspected person in her hometown. It's not long before she realizes she's being targeted by the person she despises most in the world. When Luna figures out who is behind the killings, things make a turn for the bizarre when she is contacted by a friend she has not heard from in years. It is then that she realizes that she is very much in danger, but although she can avoid the killer in reality, she cannot avoid him in her dreams. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |

I thought this was gearing up to be your typical stalker thriller, but there is more to it than that. Chance has the ability not just to mess with Luna in this world but can even invade and control her dreams. There is a reason Luna is the only one who sees through Chance's false charm. There is a reason Luna is afraid to tell what she knows, and maybe nobody would believe her anyway. This story has a lot of elements going on at once. I hate to say maybe it was too many, but in a way for me it seemed to muddy up the story line a bit. There is a lot of action and suspense in this young adult thriller, and while it left me anxious to find out where it was heading and what would happen next there were some things that bothered me. Luna's home life left a bit to be desired. Her mother is only described as a strict business woman, other than that she is not really in the picture. This leaves Luna alone with her father David whose actions felt very unrealistic to me. (For example "punishing" Luna by forcing her to go to dinner and a dance.) On the one hand Luna is afraid for her life and the lives her friends (with good reason I might add!) yet on the other hand she is also easily manipulated with just a threat of being grounded. I did enjoy parts of this very creative tale.
