There are some really good illustrations, pictures of McGwire playing baseball and him personally. I used to live in Saint Louis, this book is personally interesting for me because I love the Cardinals.
Having students go outside and play baseball would be a good relation to this story. Having students write about a memory of sports in their life, or a baseball story would also be a good extension to this book. ( )
