Romance. Humor (Fiction.) Young Adult Fiction. Adorkable (ah-dor-kuh-bul): Descriptive term meaning to be equal parts dorky and adorable. For reference, see Sally Spitz. Seventeen-year-old Sally Spitz is done with dating. Or at least, she's done with the horrible blind dates/hookups/sneak attacks her matchmaking bestie, Hooker, sets her up on. There's only so much one geek girl and Gryffindor supporter can take. Her solution: she needs a fake boyfriend. And fast. Enter Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally's best friend practically since birth. When Sally asks Becks to be her F.B.F. (fake boyfriend), Becks is only too happy to be used. He'd do anything for Sal-even if that means giving her PDA lessons in his bedroom, saying she's "more than pretty," and expertly kissing her at parties. The problem: Sally's been in love with Becks all her life-and he's completely clueless.… (más)

Cute but predictable and somewhat generic. ( )

A very sweet story about two high school students, Sally and Becks, who have been best friends their whole lives. It reminded me SO much of To All the Boys I've Loved Before (which was published first). If you liked that one, this is different enough to still be enjoyable. It's certainly predictable but still fun. Sally's mom and friend are continuously trying to set her up with guys. She decides to get a fake boyfriend in order to make them stop. ( )

Very cute

Overall, this was adorable and I loved Sally and Becks. The plot wasn't really complicated, but I liked how it played out. Of course I was frustrated, just say your feelings people! And I thought the 'nerdy' factor was a little too over the top. I get it, she likes Star Wars, okay already. I didn't love Hooker as her best friend. It was pretty messed up of her to keep shoving guys at her when Sally told her to stop. And she even told one guy that Sally was desperate, I mean really? But Becks was sweet and I liked his brothers too. ( )

**I received a copy of this book from YA Bound Book Tours in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own and not influenced by my source.**

Normally, I'm not a fan of YA contemporary but this book reminded me that there are some gems out there!

I loved Sally as a lead. She's funny, relateable and a genuine character. And the same can be said about Becks. It was so easy to see why these two are friends and why they care so much about each other.

Given the synopsis of the book, I had a pretty good idea of where this story was going to go but I was pleasantly surprised that it didn't go exactly as I thought. There were enough interesting plot developments to make the story interesting from start to finish. It never felt like a cliché when it easily could have.

I read this book in one sitting--it was so cute and utterly addicting that it was the perfect way to spend the day!
