The theme of the book is one that everyone should know! The book teaches you that you should not underestimate someone and that everyone is equal! ( ) I enjoy the complexity of this story, how it includes a tyrannical figure who is saved by a seemingly insignificant one. Equality is also a topic when in the end of the story all the bugs get their own pedestal made from the rocks that the king grasshopper rejected. This is a good example of difficult topics being simplified so students can begin to understand the differences between controlling and conductive behaviors. A king grasshopper wants a throne to loom over his bug subjects, so he calls his bugs to get him the biggest rock . One by one, the bugs bring him the biggest rocks they can carry, but one little bug can contribute only a very small pebble. The grasshopper king shuns the little bug. But when his throne is in danger of tipping, it was the little bug's pebble that helped save the tower of rocks from tipping over and the king grasshopper was thankful to him. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
