This book, A Charmed Life, was okay. I liked it but it wasn't one of my favorite. It had good meaning to it but some parts i found to be odd, or confusing for a younger child. Like when the mom would smile or acknowledge the young girls new charm bracelet, I think kids would be confused about it. The point of view was first person which i actually liked in the book. First person just seems to make the story more genuine. The plot was well organized throughout the book although i really don't think there was much suspense or conflict or a real big moment. Even though when the last gave her the bracelet was sort of a big moment the book did not do justice for the situation. I think the overall message of the story is that no matter wealthy or not wealthy we all want one thing and that is too have a good life for us and our children and that we aren't all that different. ( )
