Tailspin (Mountain Cove, #5) by Elizabeth Goddard
Read 4/30/2016 Reviewed 5/23/16

Didn’t get to read much about Mountain Cove or the residents from past books this time, but that is okay I guess, the story kept your attention from beginning to end. You have an Alaskan Bush piolet that doesn’t like to scuba dive and a scuba diver that doesn’t like to fly that are drawn together buy one common thread, the death of their mother’s on the same plane. Neither one is satisfied with the answers they were given. Thus begins the adventure and suspense with plenty of twists and turns. I was surprised by one of those turns. Even though this book is part of a series, you don’t have to read all of them to enjoy this one. If you like good suspense stories a highly recommend you get the whole series though. They are really good.

My rating is 5 stars.
There is nothing better on a Sunday afternoon than curling up with a Love Inspired Suspense novel. The novels keep me glued to the tale that includes themes of love, suspense and faith. Each novel I have read is unique in capturing the heart and mind while trying to figure out the adversary in the tale.
In this story, a woman named Sylvie Masters is diving off the shore near an Alaskan shore, hoping to locate the downed plane her mother was riding in. While doing so Sylvie sees a shadow above and assumes it to be a sea creature. How wrong she is when she finds herself in a fight to stay alive! Flying above her in a bush plane is Will Pierson who comes to notice a woman attempting to flee men who are chasing her. Will decides to land close enough for her to get to him so he can get in the air before danger catches up. The rest of what happens in the book will keep your eyes glued to the book to the very end.
I loved the Love Inspired Suspense novels because I know that there isn’t anything in them that I would have to be careful of reading. These are absolutely enjoyable, wonderful, well-crafted stories that will entertain readers and provide moments of quiet that will soothe the soul. Alaska is one state I hope to eventually visit one day as the scenes in the story portray such beauty.

Once again the author has written a super charged action packed book that is hard to put down. I could feel the cold water as it splashed on Sylvies' body as she swam in the ocean. The breathtaking scenes are so vivid you seem to be there as she scours underneath for any signs of life. The series , Mountain Cove continues with a superb cast of characters.

Sylvie is a scuba instructor who goes to a small town in Alaska to find out what happened to her mom. How can a plane just disappear without a trace? Sylvie wants answers and will not stop until she gets them. Her character is a very strong determined young woman who will stop at nothing to find her mom. The other main character, Will, is a bush pilot from Mountain Cove. He decides to fly over where his moms' plane went down to see if there is anything the searchers missed. Is it a coincidence that Sylvie and Will are looking for the same downed plane? What happens to Sylvie when she is scuba diving where the plane went down? The details are so powerful that I could not stop reading. Is there someone who doesn't want Sylvie to find out the truth from that fateful day?

The book is masterfully written with intrigue , unforgettable action and twists that will surprise readers . I love how the author crafted a mystery with a bit of romance into the story. The story is not rushed and keeps readers interested with a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. This is one book that mystery lovers will not want to miss.

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. ( )
