This was an alright read, kind of fluffy. I was a bit flummoxed by the ending though so I did not enjoy that. ( )

After reading and loving A Broken Us I was excited to return to where it all started with Finley and Brody.

It is obvious the thought that Amy Daws put into the back story and the characters that would form this story. They are well developed and so very interesting.

I absolutely loved A Broken Us and spent a lot of emotion reading it. Becoming Us took more reading but ultimately allowed me to love these characters all the more. Becoming Us allowed me to become a voyeur in the development of the relationship between Brody and Finley and introduced more characters that I love and want to know so much more about!

It is a real pleasure to watch an author begin her journey and see her writing grow with her and I have done that with Amy Daws! From the true story of Chasing Hope to a change to fiction is such a change and Amy has tackled it with a great deal of determination and it shows in the growth from book to book.

I highly recommend Becoming Us and give Amy Daws four steaming cups of Room With Books coffee. I can't wait to see what this talented author gives us next!

Becoming us was a brilliant prequel to A broken Us. It took me through the lives of Fin and Jake, as well as those close to them. The main characters are at the stage in their lives where they are unsure of what they want, still a bit on the the crazy uni fun stage and very attracted to each other.

I love that the story is written in a way that I actually feel as though I am seeing the story through their eyes. Every detail, every thought (even the funny ones) is given to you, but it isn’t drab- it is very much the opposite, as I feel alive and ready to pounce Jake myself. For those out of uni, it gives you a glimpse back to the kind of person we were in our youth, wild, crazy and out for a good time.

However, we watch as both Fin and Jake grow and become trusting, loving adults – we literally feel and see through the window of their lives, as they fall in love. Amy Daws has written a fantastically real, emotional read, but is it real love? We see the entrance of Brody! Will Fin choose a lover she's grown close to, one that has betrayed her, or the one that feels right?

I LOVED reading as Fin and Jake grew together, fell apart, Brody entered and Fin questioned everything she thought she knew of love. It was raw, gritty, funny and really represented a lot of the issues in a relationship, especially at that age. It was great to see Brody, yes THE Brody enter into the story :). It makes the story even more emotional to know what happens in A Broken Us. I was completely addicted to the story, sitting on the edge of my seat and Fin and Brody created something. built on such a strong love that it seems unbreakable, the kind of love we dream of.

I felt a part of this story. It was written so well that it seemed real. It was addicting, hilarious, enraging and heart-warming – everything I could ever want in a love story and more. This book is brilliant! I highly recommend it and the whole London Lovers series. I can’t wait to see more from Daws- I foresee some epic love stories! ( )
