This is an absolutely wonderful story with great, complex characters. Two men who move in entirely different circles get thrown together by sheer coincidence. At first glance this may look like a "rich guy meets poor guy and changes his life" story, it is not that at all. The relationship between Gabe and James is complicated, and the story is all about how each of them changes and grows until they find out how they fit together. And believe me, it is not an easy fit – and that makes the whole adventure even more worthwhile.

Gabe is a powerful CFO of a major technology company, but he is so down-to-earth and mostly unassuming, I just had to like him. He doesn't just jump in and take over James's life, or give him expensive presents. Instead, he takes the time to get to know James and quietly supports him when needed.

James is a totally amazing guy who got caught kissing a boy when he was fourteen, slept with a girl at fifteen to “prove” he wasn't gay, and got her pregnant. James fought for the right to raise his son by himself, despite having no degree and barely managing to stay above the poverty line. He has an IT support job he hates, but he needs money to pay the bills and send his son to college. His fierce determination to provide is admirable.

The style is humorous, yet gentle and loving in the right places. It goes well with telling the story of two guys who have never had a relationship and are only beginning to figure out how to make things work. If you like stories about men who are so different it’s a miracle they can make a relationship work, and if you’re looking for a read that is as funny and sweet as it is sexy and hot, then you will probably like this novel as much as I did. As for the cliff-hanger at the end I cannot wait for the sequel!
