This book was chosen as an Illinois Reads title a few years ago and I can see why. This sweet story is about a mouse who didn’t mean to do a great many things, but…. The story works well and the watercolor illustrations are nice. I like the book, but didn’t love it.

I fell in love with this book as soon as I started reading it. This is a story about a little mouse that sees a balloon, and ends up on an adventure. This book would be great to read to kindergartners and the illustrations are beautiful. This mouse has a ton of curiosity and ends up getting lost. In a classroom I could use this to demonstrate cause and effect and have students do an activity based around what happens with cause and effect. ( )

This book is the classic tale of a mischievous mouse that finds himself in a situation he wasn't expecting. A ballon leads to a exiting adventures. Drawing is very much in the style of classical stuart little type of illustration. A very sweet and nimble story worth your read.

Aberdeen was a cute tale about a little mouse who goes on an accidental adventure. This book sends a good message about being brave when you need to be and that it's okay to still need your mommy.

Aberdeen doesn't mean to disobey his mother by going out of the yard and ending up on a little adventure, but that's just what happens. This teaches children about how making excuses doesn't excuse actions. ( )
