I love how Ella knows she’s evil. She’s evil, but at least she owns it, instead of lying to herself about it. Even though we see how bad the characters can be, we fall in love with them anyways. And by the end of the book when you connect the dots and realize whose tale this really is… brilliant. Just brilliant. This is an amazing dark Cinderella retelling, put together wonderfully and I praise Anita Valle for this and the entire series. (
