The last Jamenson son without a Mate meets his match in Lexi. During Maddox and Ellie's book we were briefly introduced to Logan, Lexi, and Parker and all that we knew was that Lexi was banished from the Talon Pack due to a similar situation as Bay's mom and Logan went with her. Now we find out all the nitty-gritty details surrounding her banishment and it wasn't quite what I was expecting. For once no one gets kidnapped but that doesn't mean there is no action here. This book is still filled with action as the Centrals have not given up on their war with the Redwoods. Monumental things happen on that front. Like usual there is also plenty of hot sex (yay!) and lots of sexy werewolves. ( )

Hidden Destiny (Redwood Pack #6) by Carrie Ann Ryan

Latent wolf, Lexi Anderson, has become a recent member of the Redwood pack after being exiled from the Talon pack for a fault not her own. She was raped by Corbin Reyes, the new alpha of the central pack, leaving her with a son, Parker, and half a mating bond.

North Jamenson is the last of the brothers without a mate. He knows that the newest member of the Redwood pack, Lexi, is his. He also knows that it is prophesied that he is destined to kill Corbin Reyes. Problem is the prophecy didn’t say whether or not he will survive.

This was my favorite book in the series so far. The story keeps getting better.

Lexi and North complement each other well and overcome obstacles. They stick it out together even though they cannot be bonded as long as Corbin is alive.

I love that North accepts Parker as his son despite him being the son of his pack’s enemy. He assures him that everyone will accept him regardless.

I also appreciate that characters from the previous books are prevalent through the book. Carrie Ann Ryan does a fantastic job in the character development, making it easy to distinguish between characters through the dialog.

I enjoyed the side story of Parker trying to set up his uncle Logan with North’s sister Cailin. I Can’t wait to read about the results of Parker’s match making skills in Fighting Fate. I’m sad there is only one more full-length book left. At least, we can look forward to the remaining novellas, and it is good thing I’m a re-reader. I think the books would be even better the second time around.

The sixth book in the Redwook Pack series is a riveting read that packs an emotional punch.

Lexi wants to bond with North, but not only does she have to come to grips with her past, the war with the Centrals isn’t over yet and Lexi’s life is on the line and their future takes a drastic turn.

This fast paced and smooth flowing plot is full of suspense, action, romance, family, friendship and betrayal. The author brings the story to life with vivid images, surprising twists and intense details that capture the imagination and make the reader feel as if they are part of the story. The strong and bewitching characters grab the reader’s attention and are easily related to and members of another pack are introduced in this book to intrigue the reader as well.

The attraction between Lexi and North burns hot through every page and the sex scenes leave the reader scorched. The author conveys the emotions, passion and personalities of the characters intensely making it easy for the reader to empathize with them and understand their motivations.

The Redwood Pack is a fascinating and entertaining family that continuously surprises the reader with their strength, love, hope and loyalty. The continuing war has taken its toll on these beloved characters, but they are still standing strong. I love these wolves and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. ( )
