When mole peeks out of his hole to see what the ruckus is all about, he becomes lost and regrets it immediately. In the hiding place mole finds, there's someone else: a wolf pup, afraid of the dark. The mole and the wolf realize they can help each other; they keep each other company during the night and find their way to their respective homes in the morning. A lovely story of animal friendship. This book would be good for primary students. This book is "A Friend For Mole" written and illustrated by Nancy Armo and published in 2016. This book is about a mole who gets lost from his burrow and is scared until a wolf comes along and they play all night until it is bright enough outside for them both to find their home. They become friends. This book would be good to teach people that friends can look different and be very different people or animals, but we can all help each other and be kind to one another and a possible friendship can bloom from it. While the story is cute and sends a good message of cooperation and teamwork, I'm a bit divided about the idea of a friendship between a mole and a fox. Generally, I think these types of stories are trying to send kids the message to not judge on appearance and that friendship can be found in unlikely places. But it also winds up conveying the idea that potentially dangerous animals are benign. Note: I received a digital ARC through NetGalley. I also received an F&G at an ALA conference. Mole leaves the safety and comfort of his burrow to find out what all the noise above was about. In the bright sunlight, he lost sight of his burrow and got lost. He Stumbled into some leaves and fell asleep. That night he woke up, but was still lost. He heard another animal wimpering and found a young wolf who was also lost and afraid. All during the night, they played and kept each other company. In the morning, Wolf helped Mole find his home, shading his eyes with his tail and was also able to find his own way home. They made a promise to meet again and play, they had become friends. A great story that teaches about working together and helping one another conquer their fears. A great addition to any school or local library as well as the library of families with young children. I received a copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. A Friend for Mole by Nancy Armo is a very adorable story. It is a great book for younger readers. This book shows children that it is okay to go out of your comfort and be a little nervous. Mole and Wolf learned they were both afraid, and I think that shows children there is always someone else who is nervous too and you're not the only one. That is why it is important to help each other overcome your fear and be there for your friends. I would recommend this book for any classroom. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
