Having bought the ebook, I was slightly confused, and a bit disappointed, when I realised this was a novella rather than a novel. As such, it's a relatively simple story. Nonetheless, it is pretty much exactly how a novella called "The Rakehell's Christmas Angel" should be, and I have no complaints.

In fact, and this is not obvious at first glance, this is two linked novellas; one following each of our hardened rakes as they change places in time and experience the inevitable Christmas miracle.

This was a fun, fast, lively read that managed the rare feat of being exactly what I expected, and therefore perfectly complementing my mood when I wanted to read it. Neither life-changing nor a great work of literature, but a solid piece of entertainment - I know which one I prefer.

I'd still love to see a full-length novel concept, though... hint, hint. ( )
