Richtig schöne Science Fiction, angesiedelt knapp oberhalb unserer Zeit. Die physikalischen und technischen Erklärungen sind richtig gut, man kann als interessierter Laie alles nachvollziehen. Aber das ist nur der eine Aspekt. Was der Autor dahinein für eine Geschichte konstruiert, ist die eigentliche Überraschung. Sowas von durchdacht und konsequent bis zum Ende durchgezogen, das ist wirklich überragend. Das sollte sich Herr Eschbach mal eine Scheibe abschneiden, dort brechen die guten Ideen zum Ende hin meistens ein.
