Felicity is a shy dragon, unlike other dragons. She does not breathe fire and her wings are too tiny to fly with but she likes being helpful to all species.

Felicity's story is cute and fun. It has some rhyming and words that little ones will find funny like the word hiney.

I am trying to figure out how I feel about the art. Some pages I liked others less. I do appreciate how much work was put into them and the illustrations are very detailed.

I liked this one mostly for the subject matter and cute writing. The art is okay but not what I will remember it for. I would be interested to see if the author plans to do more picture books. ( )

Children usually love dragons, so having a dragon as the main character in this story will delight them.

Felicity the Dragon by Ruthie Briggs-Greenberg tells the tale of a small dragon, who does not behave as the ferocious dragons do. She is small, does not have claws or breath fire, she is not big or mean. She feels different and that she will not fit in or that the other dragons will not like her. One day while playing alone, as usual, Felicity has the opportunity to use her talents to save a boy and make friends.

Felicity the Dragon is an adorable tale of how children with low self-esteem or that feel different, can triumph and make friends while being honest to themselves.

This short story can be used to teach children about differences among peers as well as acceptance of themselves and others. I was not sure about the pictures in this book. They were murky and not well defined, some aspects were hard to see.

Felicity the Dragon is an outcast among dragons, but she is able to find her place when she rescues a young boy. The book is written in rhyme. Although, the book has a good message about loving yourself, it just isn't as appealing as I had hoped it would be. I think that kids will enjoy it, but it's not a favorite for me. ( )

I thought this book had very pretty illustrations. I liked how the dragon was able to find her purpose when she felt like she was not good at anything. The book was rhyming so it was fun to read. ( )
