My toddler picked this book out at the library and we both love it. Elwood is a determined and loveable character who longs for friends. I love how he learned that he didn’t need to try so hard to become something that he was not, he just needed to be him-self. I admired how in the end, the birds loved Elwood for who he is. The vibrant illustrations make the story even better. ( )
