I really find it hard to believe that someone could act that way and think it's ok and cute even. I liked Audra and the other supporting characters. Audra is torn every which way and I can understand her attraction to Jay but you'll have to read the book to find out if they even get together at all and if they do, will they last? Can sweetness and morality turn shallowness and self-centeredness into good long term relationship material? If you can get past wanting to kill Jay then read on! It's good! The story would have been better if the main character was anyone but jay. His personality is cringe-worthy. More than half of his dialogue consist of "I am a rock star". Like, I got it the first time, can you say something else now?. And he did say something else. His other favorite line was "ladies find me irresistible". I can't understand how was he with other women when the one he loved was going through a difficult phase. Instead, he goes to a resort with the plan of fucking every woman till the girl he loved comes to find him. That plan made me hate him from the start. And just by seeing Audra's breasts, the love flew out of the window. It was just tits this and tits that. I liked Audra. I read the whole book just for her. But she had to ruin it too by sleeping with him. I've read another book of Demelza's and it was good. But this book wasn't for me. This story about Audra, a hotel maid, and Jay, a pampered rock star, is an unlikely romance between two people who come from opposite backgrounds. Audra comes from a poor family and is working at the hotel to try to make extra money to support her family as well as live a better life herself, and maybe one day attend college. Jay is a pampered celebrity who is used to having the attention of every female in his presence until he meets Audra. He is not used to her standoffish attitude, or her unwillingness to fall over every word he says. This is a cute story about how opposites attract for two young people and the love story that entails. This was my first book by Demelza Carlton in the romance area and I’m not sure if I would read another one or not. The reason is the language and sex in the book. The “F” word was used so much in the book that it turned me off. It’s a very sexual charged book and that’s great if it’s what you like to read. That being said, I loved the concept of the book. The idea of a maid getting to be the one to have to work with a rock star that she idealized is great. The story about the rock star dealing with issues that are effecting his life is also great. The story is great but I think it could have been told without all the “F” words and less description of the sex. I really am not a prude. sin reseñas | añadir una reseña

For those who wish to know. Cursing is in this book. Sex is in this book. There is a little violence, too. It isn't for younger teens. ( )
