I received this book from Astraea Press, for free, in exchange for an honest review.
What I liked:
the writing has gotten much smoother & there's a togetherness about this book which wasn't present in the first
how the other types of Dragons & their practices were brought in-made world feel more real
Tai & her issues kept reminding us that the MC might be Dragon Lord's wife or head of the military, they were still teenagers-school & dresses were as important to them as the threat of war
Navi is one cool chick!
Matt was an example of a genuine human(ish) character- he loved his family but he actually believed he was doing the right thing by supporting his father's mission. He was bad without being evil.
What I didn't like:
the Big Bad Demon was all that, yet they managed to vanquish him quite easily
I'm pretty sure the False prophet & the Demon would be resurfacing in the next book, though. A much more happening book than the first & I'd love to read more about the Aero(read air-headed) dragon- my favorite out of all the dragons!
