This volume in the series deals with the filmmaker Herschell Gordon Lewis who is known for his Exploitation fare. The book is written by a fan who wanted to fill the void of books on the filmmaker and it reads like a guide, listing all of his films with summaries, and a small bit of the history of each film. A lot of these flicks aren't readily available so this is a great place to start your hunt if you've seen Blood Feast or Two Thousand Maniacs and want to see more.
If you're new to cinema outside of summer movies, dumb comedies and Oscar flicks this series of books is a good place to start. ( )
