Eraq's first act of freedom is to claim Thane as his own. But the phoenix is more than he appears. A mage-shifter, Eraq sets his sights on the man who answered his call for help. Thane returns the interest despite learning that his act of liberation has set in motion events that will change the world. A wonderful fantasy story with magic, dragons, a phoenix, and worthy knights, this novella tells the tale of Thane, a guard of the king, and Eraq, the phoenix he frees. Only Eraq is more than a phoenix, and he needs Thane's help to defeat an old enemy. The story is full of mystery, interesting characters, and an epic battle that had me holding on to the edge of my seat as I followed Thane's adventures.

If you're looking for a read that will sweep you into a different world, then you might like this free novella. ( )
