Predictably, this title uses the usual Time-Life format of a basic overview of the topic which in this case is the development of the airline industry plus the special pages that highlight the important individuals and special airplanes. Another wonderful part of this book are the many photographs of airplanes and people. As well, there are maps and charts. One can also dip into this book and read just a section or two or one of the special pages which is my usual method with Time-Life. However, I read this from cover to cover and found it satisfying although material about the European developments after the War were very limited. ( )
