This impressive debut collection of stories from Mississippi University for Women alumnus, Christopher Lowe, does not fail to deliver. Lowe's down-to-earth portrayals of characters, many of whom live in a small town much like Columbus and go to a school much like MUW (yet fictionalized) certainly ring true. Lowe's wry wit and careful attention to detail yield stories that are both humorous and deeply moving. ( )
