At first, there was just a tiny, hot and dense speck of matter. Then the universe expanded and formed the stars, galaxies and planets. The author then tells the reader how scientists found out about the Big Bang. By studying the light from other galaxies, astronomers discovered that galaxies are continually moving farther and farther apart. Additionally, they used special telescopes to look for an invisible light pattern, formed by the release of energy during the Big Bang. The astronomers found the light pattern as they had predicted. According to "Big Bang," there are still many questions that remain unanswered about the universe. I personally did not enjoy this book because I thought it was too dense of a read. I also do not believe in The Big Bang Theory so I cannot relate to this book at all. However, I can see why this would be a good addition to certain classrooms because it is important to expose students to all possibilities and beliefs. I purchased this book because my son had some questions about the Big Bang theory. Although, I knew the theory, I found it difficult to explain it in simple terms. This book was exactly what I needed. The author explained the Big Bang in simple, creative, and fun terms. My son walked away understanding and explaining the concept to anyone that would listen. I highly recommend this books to parents, teachers, and home schoolers. My son loved it sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
Billions of years ago, everything in the universe was crunched up into a tiny speck that was smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. How did this little speck become the universe we know today? Playful, alliterative verse and clear prose tell the story of the universe's journey from speck to spectacular. Bold illustrations help uncover the secrets of the cosmos. The sky will never look the same again. No se han encontrado descripciones de biblioteca. |
