The books name Frosted Blood did not sound like my cup of tea but I decided to give it a try. I can see why he liked it because the book is fast paced with lots of action. Has a nice romance story to. I'm giving it 5 stars because I think the book would be good for adolescent teens as it will make them ponder life and the universe, and ethics. ( ) I thought the first part of the book was slow but the aspect of this book that kept me reading was its plot which was far from predictable and full of twists and mysteries. Then came the non-stop action, and I mean non-stop - there are high tech gadgets galore, hidden caves, pyramids, teenage love, and more. The character development and overall writing were somewhat shallow but acceptable for young readers like myself.- it is over 300 pages but a quick read due to its easily comprehend-able style. Overall, I would recommend this book but I think it would be enjoyed by younger readers around middle-school age to high school. I would not recommend this to anyone much younger because it does include some semi-violent scenes buy anyone who enjoyed books like Maze Runner and Percy Jackson series I think would like Frosted Blood. I would read a sequel if ever one is produced Once the exposition of Michael’s early life is over, Pellitteri never lets up the pace. So many twists and turns are packed into 300 pages that it is hard to keep track of everything, especially the whys behind many actions, although I feel some motivations are more on Pellitteri’s part to keep the story moving. This, unfortunately, leaves the reader in a state of confusion, which makes it hard to really get into the story and suspend disbelief, which is greatly needed. One thing that would have helped with much of this would be to make Michael and his friends a few years older. This book is thoroughly enjoyable, and it is filled with intensity and action. The plot had nice momentum, and there weren’t any moments in the story that I felt didn’t belong. I especially like how the author didn’t reveal Michael’s true nature until close to the end of the book while still providing just enough hints to keep me from getting frustrated with not knowing the truth. The dialogue was very well done, and for the most part, avoided “telling” what was going on by using descriptive dialogue and action beats (what the characters are doing before, during, and after they speak). sin reseñas | añadir una reseña
