An introductory level conservative Christian commentary on the twelve prophets (Hosea - Malachi).

The author provides an introduction to each book and uses a narrative format to explain the text. The author has a high view of the inspiration of Scripture and sought to use the best historical knowledge available in his day to illuminate the text. The author also interacts with many other commentarians, but does not use Hebrew/Greek/etc. evidence often.

The author is also known for his commentaries on Isaiah, Daniel, and Revelation, and does not propound the premillennial interpretation of either the Old or New Testament. The author attempts to understand the prophecies in context and in terms of Christ and His Kingdom (the Kingdom as reflected in the church). To that end the commentary is quite useful in not attempting to project fulfillments of the messages to the present day.
