Opinion: It’s a little bit sad but I’m not sure why. Maybe because you know the boy and the wolf won’t be together forever. The wolf is a little bit like his pet or his son that grows up. ( )

Boy brought Bernard home, fed him chocolate-chip cookies, and gave him lessons in being scary? As Boy teaches wolf the essentials fro being scary: roaring and making terrifying faces, a fine friendship develops.

A little boy meets the big, bad wolf, only the wolf isn't scary. The boy takes him home to help him. This is a delightful story for both children and adults. The text is in smaller type than normal children's picture books and the illustrations are set up comic book style, so a young child would have to have it read to them. ( )
